Moisture Guard Program

Water Damage Maintenance Program

What the Moisture Guard Program Includes

Dry Ally provides scheduled inspections either two or four times a year, depending on individual needs and risk level. During each visit, we evaluate areas of the property that are most prone to moisture issues, like basements, plumbing lines, and utility spaces.

Our trained technicians use professional-grade moisture meters to take detailed readings and log them in a report that both parties will keep. This allows us to track changes over time and prevent long-term hidden damage or mold.

Many types of long-term water damage develop slowly and may not be covered under insurance policies if left unaddressed. The goal of the Moisture Guard Program is to catch any issues before they become costly repairs or require major mitigation work.

Semi-Annual versus Quarterly Maintenance

The Moisture Guard Program offers homeowners and business owners the reassurance of regular monitoring and testing for moisture, potential water damage, or mold issues. This can be performed either semi-annually or quarterly.

Not sure which option you might need?

Semi-annual visits are suited for properties without a history of water damage, whose conditions are stable, and for which preventive maintenance is the goal. This is great for checking in after winter freeze/thaw cycles or heavy spring rains to make sure no damage has developed.

Quarterly visits are best for active monitoring of properties whose conditions can change more quickly. This is useful for older buildings, spaces that have already experienced water damage, or high-stakes properties like commercial spaces or multi-unit buildings.

What happens if moisture is found?

If we find any moisture, Dry Ally will work with you to formulate a plan to bring moisture levels back to normal. We will pinpoint the source of the moisture before recommending additional steps.

Next, we may schedule minor repairs or additional monitoring. Moderate moisture levels may involve drying the affected area to prevent additional problems. If there is active water damage or high moisture levels, we will act quickly to protect your property and indoor environment.

Areas We Commonly Check

During every Moisture Guard inspection, we focus on areas where moisture is likely to develop or go unnoticed. This can include:

  • Basements and crawlspaces
  • Bathrooms, kitchens, and break rooms
  • Utility and mechanical rooms
  • Around windows, doors, and exterior walls
  • Water heaters and HVAC systems
  • Sump pumps
  • Plumbing lines

We also pay close attention to areas with a history of leaks or water damage, or to spaces prone to humidity or limited airflow.

Early Action Matters

Regular monitoring helps find problems early, before they escalate or fall outside of typical insurance coverage. For more information or to set up a Moisture Guard Program schedule for your property, contact Dry Ally today at 513-801-7959.
